February 2009 - Lutheran Relationships Continue to Grow in China

Study Abroad Opportunities for service and learning continue to grow in China. CSV is partnering with Wartburg College, Waverly, IA to establish a Semester Abroad Program in Xinyang, Henan Province.   What makes this program so unique is the chance for students to serve and learn for 12 weeks in rural China at the grassroots level of Chinese culture.   While many study abroad programs focus on large cities, Wartburg College and CSV seek to better understand the needs of China’s rural population…almost 1 billion people.   Through this program students will experience the beauty, culture, and history of China first-hand by interacting with the people who live there.  Other Lutheran Colleges are welcome to join Wartburg College and CSV as we work together to offer students an overseas service and learning experience of a lifetime.
